men with ties & ella fragrance giveaway #4 winner

It is Fashion Friday and for the first time I'm dedicating it to men's fashion, focusing on men with ties. I'm also announcing the fourth and last winner of the ELLA fragrance giveaway.

Beppe Modenese, usually referred to as the founder of Milan Fashion Week, is one of the most elegant dressed men walking this planet. The above photos taken by Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist are a proof of that statement. I think style runs in the blood of most Italian men, they simply know how to dress. Scott has often featured Beppe on the streets of Milan on his blog and I think his followers have developed great fondness for the gentleman. In one of his posts Scott wrote: "I think if I ever did a men’s style guide, I would have to call it 'What Would Beppe Do?'" (Aug. 2010). One thing is for sure, that would be a very interesting style guide.

If we look at men wearing ties we now know what Beppe would do. Below we can see what some other men are doing, through the lens of Nam of Streetfsn.

Every Friday in May one lucky follower of LatteLisa has won a bottle of either the ELLA Day or Night scent. Now it is time to announce the fourth and the last ELLA fragrance giveaway winner.

A number has been drawn from a pink bowl and the winner receives a bottle of the ELLA Night scent. The lucky person who matched this number is

Victoria Nava, who I believe is a new follower of LatteLisa

Victoria wrote in her comment: "I would like to win ELLA NIGHT, it seems to be just perfect!" Congratulations Victoria, I hope the Night scent will be exactly that for you: perfect! Please email me your postal address so I can forward it to the ELLA team in Iceland.

I would like to thank everyone who entered the giveaway and I especially want to thank Elinros Lindal and the ELLA team in Iceland for sponsoring this generous giveaway on the blog. It was a pleasure to introduce this Icelandic label to my readers. Finally, I would like to congratulate all the winners again.

Have a fabulous Friday!

  1. Italian Men...swoon - even the mature ones - they are soooo charming! maybe its the accent? Signore Modenese is so stylish; it's always heart warming to see an elderly gentleman still looking good in a well cut suit and tie.
Hello guy in the last photo - he's so cute!
Congratulations to the last Ella winner, Victoria.
Hope you have a lovely weekend Lisa - it's going to be golden! lol. :)x

  2. Italian men have style in their blood, that is for sure. I totally agree with Helen: it's so nice to see an elderly gentleman looking so stylish. Scott, I am waiting for a modern men's style guide. Men nowadays need one, because I am so fed up seeing them in those horrible tight clothes.
Congratulations to the winner! Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Lisa! And enjoy your Pizza Friday! xo

  3. Ah what would Beppe do, indeed! He is so stylish. As are most Italian men. My grandfather and my great uncle were incredible dressers. They both actually remind me a lot of Beppe.

Congrats to the winner. If the Night fragrance is even half as lovely as the Day, she'll be head over heels for it. :)

Have a wonderful weekend, Lisa! xoxo

  5. Self-tied bow ties are often the more conventional and marginally more standard type of bow tie. Self-tied neckties are lengthy pieces of cloth that have been knotted manually (rather than knotted by a machine). Fashionably prone individuals frequently consider freestyle bow ties as more professional than machine-tied bow ties.
